Information I collect

I only collect the information you choose to give me. When you fill out the quote request form on this website, that includes:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (optional)
• Your business name
• Your website URL (optional)
• Any message or details you send me

I don't ask for sensitive information, and I don't collect payment details through this website.

How I use your information

I use your information for one main reason: to respond to you and provide the service you asked about. Specifically, I use it to:

• Reply to your enquiry and prepare your free quote
• Discuss a potential project and agree on scope and pricing
• Follow up about work I'm doing or have done for you

I don't send marketing emails you didn't ask for, and I never sell or rent your information to anyone.

How I store and protect your data

Your information is stored securely with the service providers I use to run this website and my email (see “Third-party services” below). I keep it only as long as I need it to help you or to meet my record-keeping obligations, and I take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse or unauthorized access. If you'd like me to delete your information, just ask.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not build a profile of you across other sites. If I add basic visitor analytics in future, for example to see which pages are most popular, it will be limited to aggregate information that doesn't identify you personally, and I'll update this page before doing so.

Third-party services

To run this website I rely on a small number of third-party providers:

• Website hosting, which processes standard server logs such as IP address and browser type
• Formspree, which receives and forwards the quote request form to my inbox
• Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site and receives your IP address as part of that request

These providers only process your information so that this website and my communications work, and they're required to keep it secure. I don't share your information with third parties for their own marketing.

Your rights

You're in control of your information. At any time you can ask me to:

• See what information I hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your information from my records

Just email me and I'll take care of it, usually within a few business days.

My commitment under Canadian privacy law

InfaWeb is a Canadian business, and I handle personal information in line with Canada's privacy expectations, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). In short, that means I only collect what I need, I'm clear about why, I protect it, and I give you access to it when you ask.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I'll change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
